According to Mykolas Romeris University Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė, ranking by specific fields of science and studies highlights the strengths of each university.
"The MRU Law School, the foundations of which were laid by the creators of the legal foundations of the restored Lithuanian state, trained the highest qualified lawyers in constitutional, private and other fields. We are proud of our professors, teachers and students, of our alumni, who strengthened and are strengthening the legal system of the Lithuanian state, society's legal conscious ness and civic-mindedness," noted Rector Prof. Žalėnienė.
According to MRU Law School Dean Prof. Lyra Jakulevičienė, international evaluations of universities highlight the results of scientific research activities and the opinion of employers and academic institutions. In Lithuania, the MRU Law School is also recognized for its extraordinary attention to students, experiential education and individualized legal studies that meet the latest needs of the market and partners, active partnership with the legal community and developing the competencies of future lawyers.
In compiling the QS World University Rankings, the MRU Law School was evaluated according to 4 criteria, each of which has a maximum of 100 points: academic reputation (68,5 points), reputation among employers (64 points), research citation rate (55.1 points) and the productivity and the impact of published research (41.1 points). After evaluating all the criteria, the Law School scored 62,4 from a maximum possible of 100 points.
The MRU Law School is No. #1 among Lithuanian universities in terms of employment of law graduates. This year, the MRU Law School continues to actively participate in the international studies and research sphere.
Last year, the Law School implemented 34 international and national research projects in artificial intelligence law research, court process efficiency, criminal process evaluation, digitalization of companies, control and prevention of crimes of corruption, data protection, mediation and many other areas.
For the first time in Lithuania, at the MRU Law School, the international Bachelor's programme "Law and Global Security" was created and implemented in English language. It responds well to today's challenges of ensuring the rule of law and security in the world. Together with the Lithuanian Money Laundering Prevention Competence Center, the first micro-credentials course in the field of money laundering and terrorism prevention was launched and privately-funded scholarships were offered for studies. Each year, the Law School admits about 130 undergraduate students and about 300 Master's Degree students and more than 100 course auditers.
The Law School was the first in Lithuania to accredit and to start implementing Master's programmes for practitioners (Public Procurement, Health Law, Labor Law LL.M in Lithuanian and Law and Technology as well as Mediation (LL.M in English). More and more practicioners are applying to these programmes which have a 26% growth rate. The number of international students is also rapidly increasing. Last year there were 168 degree-seeking students from 17 countries and 96 "Erasmus" students studying at the Law School.
This year the Law School is organizing two World Congresses: The World Congress for Medical Law (Aug. 2nd-4th) and INSOL Europe EECC Conference (May 18th-19th).

The MRU Law School implements classic law programmes and has 5 specialized Bachelor's Law studies programmes, 14 Master's Degree studies programmes of which 7 are international and conducted with universities abroad. MRU was the first in Lithuania to accredit and implement 5 LL.M programmes in Law, designed for practicioners to deepen their specialized knowledge.
