According to one of the conference organizers, MRU Law School Prof. Dr. Ieva Deviatnikovaitė, this is the 4th annual joint meeting of Polish and Lithuanian academics, where the most relevant legal issues in both countries were discussed.
During the opening of the conference, MRU Law School Dean Prof. Dr. Lyra Jakulevičienė and Dean of Law and Administration of the University of Warmia and Mazury Prof. Dr. Yaroslav Dobkovsky delivered welcome addresses.
The conference discussed the compliance of human rights restrictions with the Polish and Lithuanian constitutions, the impact of the pandemic on national elections, municipal activities and their status, economic freedom, the constitutional principle of labor protection in Poland, municipal waste management, investment and the construction sector, and administrative justice procedures.
Researchers from MRU, Vilnius University, Warmia and Mazury University, Gdansk University, Nicholas Copernicus University in Torun, and Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica made presentations.
