Teachers demand to gradually increase education funding so that by 2020 it reaches the level recommended by the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and UNESCO – at least 6% of the GDP.
Teachers will demand "to ensure secure conditions in education establishments, applying certain preventative measures and adopting legislation adequate to the situation."
Lithuanian Education Trade Union (LSPS) is the biggest organisation uniting Lithuania's trade unions of education employees. LSPS unites approximately 9,000 members.
