"I hope that this visit will help you familiarize yourself with higher education in Lithuania, will open up new horizons for further cooperation, enhance mutual understanding and improve bilateral relations," Germanas told the Omani delegation that is beginning its three-day working visit to Lithuania.
Oman takes interest in the Lithuanian education system, conditions for studying and specific study programmes, academic cooperation, joint research programmes, academic and science-based exchanges.
The Omani delegation will also meet with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Lithuania Rimantas Vaitkus and will visit Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and Vilnius Academy of Arts.
