Kaunas University of Technology is second this year, Vytautas Magnus University is third, the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences came in fourth and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is fifth this year.
Among private universities, the best is the ISM University of Management and Economics, followed by the LCC International University.
The universities were rated based on a number of criteria, including the variety of programmes, internationality, their demand on the labour market, the evaluation of scientific activities and their students.
As reported, the list of top five universities in Lithuania published by magazine Veidas in 2013 included Vilnius University, Kaunas University of Technology, Vytautas Magnus University, Mykolas Romeris University and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
Among private universities, ISM University of Management and Economics and the LCC International University were ranked as best universities in 2013.
