November 12th, 2019, 4 new Council members were appointed during an academic community conference. The Council members are appointed by the University academic community. Those appointed include MRU Law Prof. Saulius Katuoka, Law Prof. Vytautas Sinkevičius, MRU Political Sciences Institute Lecturer Rima Urbonaitė and Public Security Academy Dept. of State Border Protection Head Danguolė Seniutienė. MRU Council Election organizing Committee Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saulius Spurga.
