Some of the people who will visit Estonia are one of the creators of the Internet, Google's Deputy President Vint Cerf and global research company Gartner Deputy President Stephen Prentice, Enterprise Estonia announced.
The ICT Week has nearly 1,500 participants and a dozen events during the week. Some events take place for the first time in Estonia, like the Nordic Digital Agendas Day, while some have already established themselves like Latitude59.
The ICT-focused events that take place between April 23rd and 30th are targeted at opinion leaders in both the public and private sectors, entrepreneurs and top state officials. The first Estonian ICT Week aspires to become an annual top event in the field of ICT in the Baltic and Nordic area and hopes to attract new startup founders and investors as well as to share the best practices of embracing IT.
Estonian ICT Week is held on the initiative of the Enterprise Estonia Foundation (EAS) in cooperation with the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications, Garage48, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
