During the spring holidays, 80 youths participated in four days of discussions in Kaunas, shared knowledge and experience about the EU and its policies. They had an opportunity to meet with experts, decision makers and share with them their insights. The work reflected in resolutions – documents naming significant problems in the EU and their possible solutions.
"I hope your visit to Kaunas was meaningful and interesting, and that the adopted resolutions will be analysed and assessed in the committees of the European Parliament. Indeed, it is important to take interest not only in global EU issues but also in local problems and topics," Mayor of Kaunas Andrius Kupcinskas said in his address to the youth.
Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. The EYP consists of a network of 41 European associations and organisations in which thousands of young people are active in a voluntary capacity.
