Komatsu is developing its activities and pays a lot of attention to digitalisation, software used in produced and sold equipment, various related IT solutions, and development of services. Currently, the company is very interested in the latest Blockchain technologies, research and start-ups in the area.
The Japanese company shows strong interest in the use of Blockchain technology in software for construction and mining equipment, recent developments in IT and UAV technology solutions which enable to use and represent collected big data. The guests from Japan came to Lithuania and VGTU because of its strength and leadership in Fintech and Blockchain technologies.
During his visit to VGTU, Mr. Takashi Ishihara has met with Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation prof. Antanas Čenys, Director of VGTU's Knowledge and Technology Transfer Centre Vilma Purienė, Vice Director of International Relations Office Aleksandra Sokolova, Vice-Dean of Antanas Gustaitis' Aviation Institute dr. Linas Gelažanskas, Associate professor at the Department of Reinforced Concrete Structures and Geotechnics dr. Vladimir Popov and Associate professor at the Department of Information Systems Justinas Janulevičius. VGTU representatives provided information about the university and their areas of research, science and technologies.
