"Today (March 6th), we honour the laureates of the Lithuanian Science Award – 7 scientists and their group for the special and significant works for Lithuania. All these works are different and very far distant from one another. After all, thousands, tens of thousands talents and intelligences are working in the sphere of science and millions are using their fruits," said the Prime Minister congratulating the laureates.
According to the Prime Minister, some discoveries of the scientists stepped over the Lithuania's borderlines. They were used by the institutions, businessmen and citizens from the European Union (EU) and the entire world.
These awards are given to Lithuanian scientist who are promoting Lithuanian name abroad and contributing to various scientific research.
