First, the pupils had to work in groups and analyze what buildings in city are relevant. Each team selected one building at a time and worked with it during the semester, describing in detail the purpose of the building and the form, and found matches of similar buildings in Lithuania and abroad. As a result of the analysis, they started to form a digital model of the building. Sketches were drawn and prepared for design of the 3D model. This time, the pupils chose the following buildings for the design: school, kindergarten, university, prisons, supermarkets, resource storage, space ship repair shop, oxygen production factory, hotel, hospital, bank, conservatory, park and protective dome.
During the semester, the pupils took note of the tools for the building information modeling (BIM) projects and they modeled the simplified model of the chosen building. This time, the pupils used the modeling tools which are available online in the Internet browser Autodesk Formit was used. This allowed students to work continuously during their activities at university, school and at home. Through the cloud, they were able to connect to their project from any location.
After semester all groups building projects was connected in one model using Revit. Two cities were created and prepared for virtual reality (VR). During the last class, the pupils thent to VGTU " LinkMenų fabrikas" virtual reality lab where they presented their team projects and how they created the chosen project. During the presentation, pupils and teachers walked inside the virtual cities created by pupils. You can view the images and presentation memories in Photo Gallery.
