According to the Agreement, KTU and Hella will cooperate in study and research aiming to develop closer interaction between research and business, study and work practice and to achieve other goals.
“We are happy to see that our cooperation agreement is followed by planning concrete steps and actions”, says KTU Rector Eugenijus Valatka during the meeting with Hella.
Among the fields of planned long term cooperation are projects in research and human resources, technology transfer and science production, exchange of scientific and technological information, technological solutions organising and creating conditions for scientific research.
Hella and KTU will also cooperate in organising work placements for students, improving practical adaptability of gained skills and providing advice on study programme development.
“For us cooperation with KTU is important because of current and future experts, who are and will be working in Hella”, says Michael Jarecki, Managing Director of Hella Lithuania.
According to him, the cooperation with KTU enables Hella not only to find the best professionals in the region and to offer them job places, but also to participate in the process of education by developing most needed skills.
Hella is among the 40 biggest producers of components for automotive industry and is one of 100 biggest industry companies in Germany. In the first 3 years Hella Kaunas is planning to employ around 250 people.
