Compared to 2017 ranking, Vilnius University improved almost all publication indicators analysed by the EECA. EECA ranks universities in Eastern and Central Europe, as well as in Central Asia. The same data is used to create this ranking as in the global QS World University Rankings. The only difference – indicator weights are modified and new indicators are added, such as the number of academics holding a doctorate, the university’s internet visibility, and the frequency of citations of scientific works. Last year VU placed 18th in this ranking.
