Earlier this summer, journalists Chris Ward and Cate Lawrence, representing the media platforms DZone and The Next Web, which provide news and insights on IT and technology related topics were visiting KTU. DZone.com is one of the world’s largest online communities and leading publisher of knowledge resources for software developers, TNW has been sharing, inventing and advancing tech developments since 2006.
Journalists’ stopover at KTU was included into their schedule of visiting innovative companies in Lithuania. At KTU they had a chance to try out the new Virtual Reality system, which helps people possessing public speaking phobia. The special software transfers the speaker into the room full of people, and he or she can practice their speech in front of the audience. The system was created by KTU student Lukas Navickas together with game developers SneakyBox and introduced in technology and innovation fair Technorama 2018.
In Kaunas the journalists also had a tour at IT companies’ hub Telesoftas, and visited Login festival.
