Developers of new technology businesses from 7 Lithuanian universities and 7 science and technology parks will be able to use start-up, marketing, administration, business development, idea refinement, prototype and model creation services as well as other professional consultation and incubation services.
"Universities are developing many talented young people who have to be pointed in the right direction to help them fulfil their ideas and encourage them, so they have their businesses after graduation and wouldn't have to emigrate or become unemployed. The state has to create better conditions to fulfil ideas. Science and technology parks will play a significant role in the project, they will provide incubation services for the start-ups," said MITA Director Arunas Karlonas.
Students, doctoral post-graduates, junior scientists and researchers will have an opportunity to generate and refine business ideas, establish new high value added technology companies, create models and prototypes, and introduce new technology.
The project will be completed by October 2015. LTL 9.6 million (EUR 2.8 million) will be allocated for the project from the European Regional Development Fund and the European Social Fund.
