Seeking to implement this initiative as effective as possible, a network of partners has been formed: on Tuesday ministers of social security and labour, education and science, economy and agriculture together with partners, representing business, employer, employee, youth organizations signed a cooperation memorandum.
Minister of Social Security and Labour Algimanta Pabedinskiene said that the network of partners set up today confirmed their intention to cooperate in the implementation of the Youth Guarantee initiative in Lithuania.
"The partners will seek together to ensure that young people would be prepared appropriately for the labour market, taking into consideration the needs of the country's economy, that they would acquire appropriate competences and skills in the process of quality studies, vocational education, and after leaving formal education or losing their jobs, they would be provided with opportunity within four months to receive an offer of job, adequate to their qualification, or an offer of further studies, including apprenticeship or traineeship," said Pabedinskiene.
