According to Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas, it is expected that innovation system will encourage innovative activities of companies and will add to strengthening of innovation capacities of companies.
"The new programme also aims at increase of the effect of the EU support for 2014-2020 in research and development and innovations and at promotion of development and implementation of innovative products and technologies. These investments are expected to be more efficient when funding for the year 2014-2020 will be directed towards business purposes," said Gustas.
Lithuanian Innovation Development Programme for 2014-2020 was coordinated with associated business structures. Eleven Lithuanian ministries have contributed to the development of the programme.
