Α Research & Innovation kick-off event on the ‘Horizon 2020’ programme

'Horizon 2020', the new European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, will be presented by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) at a special event organised in the framework of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the EU, on Friday, 10 January 2014, at the 'Demokritos' National Centre for Scientific Research. The event is under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias, who will attend it. Representatives from the European Commission will present and discuss synergies between the 'Horizon 2020' and EU Structural Funds, as well as issues related to ICT, financing opportunities for SMEs and the role of "smart specialization" in regional development and cohesion.
