However, the number of students admitted to Bachelor's Degree studies declined during the 2016-2017 academic year.
According to figures of those admitted to study social sciences during the 2016-2017 year, MRU remains in 2nd place among all Lithuanian universities. Regarding accredited studies programmes for the 2015-2017 academic year, 63% of programmes were accredited for a 6-year period and 37% for a 3-year period.
Rector Monkevičius noted that according to employability in highly-qualified positions, MRU remains among the leaders in terms of salaries.
The Rector also touched on other university implemented research activities and projects implemented during the 2016-2017 academic year and the financial situation. He said the University's budget is balanced.
After the Rector's presentation, MRU Council Chairman Roma Žakaitienė said that the Council positively evaluated and approved Rector Monkevičius 2016-2017 annual report.
