During the event, MRU academics and representatives presented examples of good practices, discussed marketing and recruitment strategy, joint study programmes, MRU Asian Centre activities and other university matters with the Moldovan delegation.
MRU International Office Head Audra Dargytė-Burokienė and her staff organized the Erasmus+ project called ELEVATE, "Elevating Internationalisation of Higher Education in Moldova." It is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (EU).
On Opening Day, Nov. 7th, the Welcome Address was delivered by MRU Vice-Rector for Education and Research Dr. Inga Žalėnienė.
The ELEVATE project deals with the process of internationalization of Moldova higher education. The overall goal of the project is to support modernisation and internationalisation of higher education in Moldova.
During the week-long event, academics from Moldova will have the opportunity to not only tour MRU's campus and familiarise themselves with internationalisation on campus, but also to visit the MRU Library, the MRU LAB and visit the Grand Duke Palace in Vilnius.
Some of the Moldova universities taking part in the project include: the Technical University of Moldova (UTM); the State Agrarian University of Moldova (UASM); the Alecu Russo Balti State University; and others.
Project coordinator is the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
