The Government approved new regulations related to changes in the methodology of calculation and allocation of pupil's basket funds.
The number of pupils increased in 9 municipalities, therefore, these municipalities will be provided with funding to cover a shortfall of LTL 5 million (EUR 1.5 million) for expenses related to education.
The rest remaining money – LTL 3 million (EUR 0.9 million) – will be allocated to those municipalities, where the number of pupil has decreased, yet similar education infrastructure is being maintained.
