During the meeting, in addition to the MISSOC agenda affairs both the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU social program, the results achieved and the objectives aimed as well as the pension system in Lithuania and the reform of it will be discussed.
At MISSOC meetings the material for this system is being introduced by the countries, concepts are being adjusted, reports are heard, the most important changes and trends in social security for the national law of the parties involved and of the EU legislation will be discussed. During each meeting, the detailed analysis of the MISSOC tables is performed in order to make the material of different countries understandable and accurate; as well the same concepts should be used. In addition to this, these meetings deal with the technical issues related to the accumulation, representation and dissemination of the information.
MISSOC National speakers meetings are held every year, twice a year, at the time of the Council of the European Union, at the country holding the Presidency. These meetings involve all appointed permanent announcers of the MISSOC of the Member countries, the European Commission and representatives of international organisations. About 80 representatives are expected to attend the meeting in Vilnius.
