“The main reason we have chosen to further develop our operations in Kaunas is the higher education system, which meets the company’s needs, and the competences of specialists who have studied at the higher education institutions in Kaunas,” says Pekka Parikka, General Manager of Festo.
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) cooperates with Festo for many years already. The plans to expand the company’s services in Kaunas is great news to the students and graduates from Electronics Engineering, Control technologies, Informatics, Finance, Industrial Technology management and International Business. Many of them are having successful careers in a variety of positions at the international company famous for its organisational culture.
“Our current employees have already demonstrated the high competence levels locally-educated specialists possess. Festo’s Kaunas office is the largest service centre of any production company in Lithuania. There are currently 10 production company service centres in Lithuania. Some of the best known include those of Scandinavian companies Outokumpu, Ahlstrom-Munksjö and Paroc.
