Being a member in the oldest KTU art society has proved effective in helping to overcome stage fright, develop self-confidence, communication and teamwork skills, artistry and vocal musical ear. And, of course, it is a great way to use your free time.
The choir was founded in 1926 and is now led by Danguolė Beinarytė, one of the most famous choirmasters in Lithuania. Jaunystė annually participates in various choir festivals both in Lithuania and abroad, goes on tour in Europe, organizes academic choir festival Juventus and holds about 30 performances a year. KTU academic choir Jaunystė was recognized as the best Lithuanian adult choir in 2014.

Founded in 1949, today Nemunas is the largest student art society in the country, connecting about 140 members who can choose to perform in the dance group, the choir, the orchestra or the folk ensemble. Nemunas participates in Lithuanian Song festivals annually, tours extensively both in Lithuania and abroad, and holds about 40 performances a year. Nemunas has been awarded the first (highest) category as an amateur art society.
Members of Nemunas get in touch and gain deeper understanding about Lithuanian national heritage. This unique art society unites musicians from different generations. Performing for large and various audiences helps to overcome stage fright, develop a sense of responsibility and organizational skills.
Admire modern dance? Find yourself on stage with KTU’s modern dance group MoDance!
Founded in 2005, KTU’s art society MoDance performs in dance festivals, Lithuanian Song Festivals, city events and dance competitions. MoDance holds about 30 performances annually.
Members who join this art society have an excellent opportunity to implement creative ideas in creating new dances, to improve their scenic, dancing skills and to even learn a few acrobatic tricks. Today MoDance team consists of 27 dancers.

Theatre Studio 44 is considered to be the oldest Lithuanian academic theatre studio, which was founded in 1948 by the famous theatre and television actor and director Petras Likša. Today the University’s theatre, consisting of 28 young actors, is led by a well-known director Loreta Vaskova. KTU’s Theatre Studio 44 presents one or sometimes two new productions each year. The Theatre stages more than 20 shows for various audiences annually.
Getting involved in KTU’s Theatre Studio 44 activities can help to overcome stage fright, develop self-confidence, improve body language, facial expressions, poise, oratorical skills. Members of this art society have the opportunity to gain experience in event organization, to work and consult with the professionals of the field – well-known actors and directors.

Founded in 1976, today the KTU Photo Studio is quickly expanding: the increasing number of members includes young photography enthusiasts and professional photographers. Members of this art society organize over 20 events and/or exhibitions annually, they also actively participate in national and international photo festivals.
During the photography classes at KTU Photo Studio its members are acquainted with analogue, digital and other forms of photography, they participate in workshops, photography seminars and symposiums. By taking part in student and city events, interdisciplinary projects they can meet with famous photographers and other professionals in the field.
Ever dreamt of your own music band? Perform on stage with the Aitor members!
Founded in 2013, Aitor is one of the youngest KTU art societies. Today it consists of 6 band members, led by the group's founder – composer and carillonneur Julius Vilnonis. Students who can play an instrument, sing, make music and improvise are welcome to join Aitor.
The concert set list of the band includes covers from various artists and some original compositions. Aitor plays their music not only to the wide KTU academic audience, but are also often invited to city events and student festivals.

Founded in 2016 and initiated by students themselves, the newest addition to KTU’s art societies, The BrassBees band performed for the first time on Kaunas Žalgirio arena stage during the KTU Graduation Ceremony 2016. The BrassBees members’ good cheer, resounding rhythms and youthful energy are reflected in their original repertoire.
Led by an artistic director Raimundas Arnašius, KTU’s brass group is looking for drummers, bassists and musicians who can play other instruments.
