“The visit to KTU was added to the agenda of their two-weeks’ stay in Lithuania, as KTU is the good practice example of collaboration between business and university. During the meetings with the University administrative staff, start-up coordinators and teachers, the guests from Japan were interested in the study methods which allow integration of business cases into studies. The young people took special interest into our start-up community, they were fascinated by the engineering ideas becoming real products and the perspective of turning a hobby into successful business”, said Neringa Narbutienė, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Development ad interim.
Delegation from Japan consisted of representatives from the Government and 14 young people. At KTU the guests had the opportunity to meet and discuss study organising, entrepreneurship development programmes and the opportunities provided by start-up community with the representatives of the University. The guests were fascinated by the presentation of the successful start-up ideas at the KTU Santaka Valley.
After the visit to the University, the Japanese delegation met students at KTU Vaižgantas progymnasium.
This visit was organised by The Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour together with the Government of Japan.
