Faculty members always invite exchange students to participate in outgoing lectures organized at the companies throughout the year. Students get various assignments they need to conduct during the company visit. Lecturers of the faculty believe that outgoing lectures help to understand how theory is applied in real work situations.
For example, in spring semester of 2015 exchange students visited "Schmitz Cargobull" – the trailer company in Panevėžys. The lecturer gave them with the following tasks: to monitor the processes of changes in the company, create a model of "supply chain", record changes that occurred in the company and the results after the changes. Also, students had an opportunity to discuss researches carried out by the company with the company’s representative and to understand the company’s internal communication.
During the outgoing lecture, students are divided in teams to perform analytical tasks. They are encouraged to learn teamwork. Also, students can experience the obstacles faced by employers and employees while applying theory in practice.
For students, the best part of interactive lectures is the opportunity to learn about the company’s organisation and production processes, get real experience of the working industry, gain new knowledge from people, who have a lot of experience in the industry, and learn to tackle difficulties when theory needs to be applied in practice. KTU Panevėžys Faculty of Technologies and Business offers their students this unique opportunity, and exchange students should definitely take advantage of it.
Students of the faculty appreciate interactive lectures greatly, and organization of the outgoing lectures is becoming a tradition of the faculty’s professors.
Students had interactive lectures at "KOMEX" - the company manufacturing various films, public institution "Aukštaitijos siaurasis geležinkelis" - Narrow Gauge Railway of Aukštaitija, "Krekenavos agrofirma" - meat processing company, "SIWood" - production of the wall and ceiling panels, and other companies.
