Last year the camp had a huge success in Spain and Russia. For the first time this camp for IT students of senior courses is coming to Lithuania. All four days even twelve CERN IT guru will share their knowledge with the camp participants, will present the innovations on ICT, computing and big data analysis and will carry out practical tasks together.
"We are delighted that our University, together with CERN, is organizing these extraordinary training courses, distinguished not only by the famous names of the leaders, but also known by its high quality. Both VGTU and CERN are fostering similar values, promoting innovations and international cooperation, so CERN SPRING CAMPUS' 16, a very organically developed joint project, will have a lot of useful experience for its participants," - says Asta Radzevičienė, the Vice-Rector for International Relations at VGTU.
During the camp the participants will discuss such hot topics as "Breaking Code from Space", "Network Wars: Hackathon", "Modern JavaScript language", "Obtaining Data from the Network, Introduction to the Web Clean-up", "Network Wars 2016: Coding Competitions on Artificial Intelligence games" and many others.
The world's largest Particle Accelerator Physics Laboratory, equipped with the world's largest Hadron Collider, is operating in CERN centre, founded in Switzerland, near Geneva. In addition, CERN is a Web technology pioneers in Europe – it is here that they created the Internet. CERN has recently become one of the largest distribution centres for the development of distributed calculations, starting a project called Enabling Grids for E-science.
The cooperation of our country and CERN, being especially close recently, allows us not only to learn about the latest scientific achievements, but also to provide an excellent opportunity for Lithuanian science, business and professionals to enter the international market.
VGTU invites you to take this rare opportunity and until March 22 register for CERN SPRING CAMPUS' 16. The most motivated one-hundred IT enthusiasts will spend four days, listening to the lectures, sharing experience, knowledge, learning and communicating.
