EconomyBelarus is interested in Lithuanian agricultural and food products, especially raw milk and beef. Moreover, Belarusians would like to establish joint enterprises with Lithuania, stated Minister of Agriculture Virginija Baltraitiene who paid a working visit to Belarus. The Ministry of Agriculture continues the active search of new markets for Lithuanian agricultural products. Lebanon and Serbia have opened their doors to Lithuanian meet, fisheries and dairy products. On 18 August, Monday, at the Government building of the Republic of Lithuania the representatives of the Lithuanian business associations and municipalities together with the heads of the Government, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance will give the green light to the Memorandum of Good Business Practice during the Adoption of the Euro. Euro area annual inflation was 0.4% in July 2014, down from 0.5% in June. This is the lowest annual inflation rate since October 2009. In July 2013 the rate was 1.6%. Monthly inflation was -0.7% in July 2014. The requirement has to be followed by all trade and service companies, also by distance marketing service providers and in advertisements. Belarus and Kazakhstan, members of the Customs Union dominated by Russia, accept Lithuanian food products and are not stopping cargo at the border. Statistics Lithuania informs that in July 2014, compared to June, prices for consumer goods and services decreased by 0.5%. In July 2014, annual (July 2014, against July 2013) inflation stood at 0.3%. Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on non-final data obtained from customs declarations, Intrastat reporting and VAT returns data, exports in June 2014 amounted to LTL 7.1 billion (EUR 2 billion), imports - LTL 7.5 billion (EUR 2.2 billion). |
