Yet another continent is to be added on the list of markets of the Lithuanian food company Viciunu Grupe. The company will offer Australia dumplings made to a special gourmet recipe.

The net profit of Lesto in 2014, based on preliminary unaudited financial statements, amounted to LTL 81.518 million (EUR 23.609 million) – almost twice as much as in 2013 when it was equal to LTL 43.372 million (EUR 12.561 million), the company said in a statement.

As of 2015, the euro became Lithuania's official legal tender and the currency board mechanism ceased to exist, the need to always have highly liquid assets decreased significantly. Taking into account these developments, the Bank of Lithuania updated its financial assets management policy.

The Presidium of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) has confirmed on Tuesday that industrialists welcome the Government's plans to increase the minimum monthly wage once again in July 2015.

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius announced on Friday that a 5,000 cubic metre onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal will be constructed in Klaipeda. In addition, a small vessel for transportation of gas will be purchased.

Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on non-final data obtained from customs declarations, Intrastat reporting and VAT returns data, exports in December 2014 amounted to EUR 1.9 billion (LTL 6.6 billion), imports – EUR 2.1 billion (LTL 7.3 billion). Over the month (December 2014, against November), exports decreased by 11.2, imports – by 16.3%.
