Compared to II quarter 2015, the real GDP change stood at 0.5%.
In III quarter 2015, against III quarter 2014, an increase in the value added was observed in most economic activities. The positive change in the value added was mostly conditioned by the activity results of enterprises engaged in construction, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade.
In the first three quarters of 2015, GDP stood at EUR 27 620 million at current prices. Compared to the first three quarters of 2014, the real GDP change stood at 1.5% (seasonally and working day unadjusted – 1.5%).
Statistics Lithuania, based on more detailed quarterly data and having estimated the value added by a more detailed list of economic activities, published the revised GDP estimate for II quarter 2015 on 2 October 2015. According to the revised data, against the same quarter of 2014, real GDP change stood at 1.4% (the previously published II quarter real GDP change stood at 1.4%). In II quarter 2015, GDP amounted to EUR 9 365.9 million at current prices.
Real GDP changes have been estimated using a chain-linking method, which enables the elimination of the influence of price changes.
Values of and changes in GDP and its components depend on the different seasons of the year; therefore, changes used for the comparison of GDP and its components for different periods are seasonally and working day adjusted.
