Over the month, mining and quarrying and manufacturing production increased by 1.5%, seasonally and working day adjusted – decreased by 2.5%; manufacturing production increased by 1.3%, seasonally and working day adjusted – decreased by 2.6%.
Over the month, an increase in production was observed for the manufacture of leather and related products (44.2%), textiles (30.9%), motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (18.1%), chemicals and chemical products (13.9%), paper and paper products (12.3%), fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (11.6%).
In September 2015, against August, a decrease in production was observed for the production of repair and installation of machinery and equipment (24.9%), manufacture of beverages (16.3%), basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (15.4%), wearing apparel (13%), other transport equipment (12.7%), refined petroleum products (5.9%).
In September 2015, against September 2014, industrial production increased by 0.2% at constant prices, working day adjusted – decreased by 0.7%. Over the year, mining and quarrying and manufacturing production increased by 1.2%, working day adjusted – by 0.3%, of which manufacturing production increased by 1.6%, working day adjusted – by 0.6%.
In January–September 2015, industrial production totalled EUR 13.96 billion at current prices and compared to the same period of 2014, grew by 4.7% at constant prices, working day adjusted – by 4.1%. Over the said period, mining and quarrying and manufacturing production increased by 5.6%, working day adjusted – by 5%; of which manufacturing production increased by 5.8%, working day adjusted – by 5.2%.
In January–September 2015, against January–September 2014, the proportion of mining and quarrying and manufacturing sales and services on the non-Lithuanian market increased by 0.7 percentage points and stood at 64.1%, on the Lithuanian market – decreased by 0.7 percentage points and stood at 35.9%. The value of sales and services to non-euro area countries accounted for more than half (54.3%) of the total value of sales and services on the non-Lithuanian market.
In January–September 2015, against January–September 2014, the value of sales and services of industrial enterprises on the non-Lithuanian market decreased by 1.2% at current prices. The decrease was mainly influenced by a 13.9% drop in the sales of the production of enterprises engaged in the manufacture of refined petroleum products, 9.7% – food products, 9.9% – rubber and plastic products. Refined petroleum products excluded, the value of sales and services on the non-Lithuanian market increased by 3.9% at current prices. Over the said period, the sales of the production of the manufacture of furniture grew by 17.2, wood and wood products, except for furniture – 14.2, chemicals and chemical products – 4.9, fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment – 17.9, computer, electronic and optical products – 34.3%, basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – 40.9%. The value of sales and services to euro area countries decreased by 5.9%, while to non-euro area countries – increased by 3.2% at current prices.
In January–September 2015, against January–September 2014, the value of sales and services of mining and quarrying and manufacturing on the Lithuanian market decreased by 4.1% at current prices, refined petroleum products excluded – by 0.1% at current prices.
