Revenues, expenses of Lithuania's Compulsory Health Insurance Fund to go up by 4.1% in 2016

On October 20th after submission, members of Lithuania's parliament approved the draft budget of the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (PSDF) for 2016. The budget will amount to EUR 1.44 billion. The draft budget was supported by 48 MPs, with 2 abstentions. Compared with 2015, the PSDF budget revenues and expenses in 2016 will increase by 4.1% or EUR 56.1 million. "It is planned to have a balanced budget in the upcoming year," said Health Minister Rimante Salaseviciute. It is estimated that the 2016 budget reserve should account for EUR 73.1 million, of which the main reserve share should amount to EUR 21.6 million.
