Over the quarter, the volume of construction work carried out increased by 42.1%, seasonally and working day adjusted – 3.5%. The volume of construction of civil engineering structures increased twice, yet seasonally and working day adjusted – decreased by 3.9%.
In II quarter 2015, against II quarter 2014, the volume of construction work carried out increased by 6.4% and was not influenced by the number of working days. The share of construction of civil engineering structures accounted for 49.2% of total construction work carried out in the country. Against II quarter 2014, the share of construction of civil engineering structures increased by 1.6%. The share of construction of non-residential buildings accounted for 35.3% of total construction work carried out, or by 3.5% more than in II quarter 2014. The share of construction of residential buildings accounted for 15.5% of total construction work carried out, or by 35.7% more than in II quarter 2014.
In II quarter 2015, the volume of construction work carried out abroad amounted to EUR 48 million. Against I quarter 2015, the volume of such construction increased by 42.2%, against II quarter 2014, by 13%.
In I half-year 2015, the volume of construction work carried out in the county amounted to EUR 1058 million, or by 7.7% more than in I half-year 2014.
Concepts
Construction work carried out refers to the value (VAT excluded) of all kinds of work carried out when building a new structure, reconstructing, repairing (restoring) or demolishing a structure for a customer (sale) or for own needs. It excludes the value of land and design work.
