The Tallinn-Riga and Helsinki-Saint Petersburg routes saw an 11.6% increase in passenger turnover. The largest increase – 24.4% – was registered on routes connecting the Baltics with Central Europe.
Lux Express CEO Hannes Saarpuu explains that when planning expansions for the bus route network, the company's board always considers the wishes of the respective country. With the growing number of passengers, Lux Express has increased the number of bus travels on routes between the Baltic capitals. As of June, the operator has launched additional bus travels to Tallinn and Vilnius.
Lux Express is constantly improving its coach terminal, and this year, the company has acquired several new buses.
Last year, the number of passengers carried by Lux Express Group significantly increased – from EUR 718,170 to 1,646,430.
The company's turnover in 2014 reached EUR 21 million, but in 2013 – EUR 13.7 million. Meanwhile, the company's profit in 2013 reached EUR 2.5 million, but in 2014 – EUR 3.6 million.
