This year, companies managed by Maxima Grupe are to create about 1,500 new jobs, as well as to invest EUR 87 million in business development and management in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, and Poland.
Maxima Grupe observes a clear strategic plan and is constantly looking for new opportunities to achieve its business goals in every market.
Given the competition on the retail markets in countries where Maxima Grupe operates, as well as Lithuania's transfer to a new national currency, the results of the first half of the year can be considered stable, according to Maxima Grupe Director General Neringa Janaviciute.
In the first half of the year, Maxima Latvija turned over EUR 331 million, not counting VAT, which is a 3.7% increase on the respective period last year. At the same time, Maxima Eesti OU turned over EUR 213 million without VAT – a 9.3% increase.
Maxima Grupe is a holding company established in 2007, managing retail stores in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, and Bulgaria. It operates 526 stores: 231 of them are located in Lithuania, 147 in Latvia, 75 in Estonia, 46 in Bulgaria, and 27 in Poland.
