Over the month, prices for building materials and products increased by 0.1%. The largest price growth was observed for pipes – 1.3, finishing materials – 0.3%, while decrease – wood products (0.6%), general building materials, electrical engineering materials, insulation materials and concrete and mortar (0.3% each).
As for buildings and structures, the largest price growth over the month was observed for the construction of utility infrastructure (except for wastewater pipelines) – 1%. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 0.6%.
Over the year (June 2015, against June 2014), construction input prices increased by 1.8%. It was conditioned by a 5.7% increase in wages and salaries, 0.4% – hourly labour costs of the operation of construction machines and mechanisms, 0.2% – building materials and products.
As for building materials and products, the largest price growth over the year was observed for pipes – 1.2, general building materials – 1, electrical engineering materials – 0.7%, while price drop – insulation materials (3.5%), finishing materials (1.3%).
As for buildings and structures, the largest price growth over the year was observed for the construction of utility infrastructure (except for wastewater pipelines) – 2.7%. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 2.8%.
The influence on the overall change in construction input prices is determined not only by change in the construction input component price but also by the relative share (weight) of that component in the total value of construction.
