Over the month, mining and quarrying and manufacturing production increased by 0.3%, seasonally and working day adjusted – by 2.5%; manufacturing production increased by 0.2%, seasonally and working day adjusted – by 2.5%.
Over the month, a decrease in production was observed for the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (72.5%), chemicals and chemical products (20.7%), motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (9.4%), machinery and equipment not elsewhere classified (7.5%), food products (6.2%), other non-metallic mineral products (4.9%).
In April 2015, against March, an increase in production was observed for the manufacture of other transport equipment (52.3), computer, electronic and optical products (31%), refined petroleum products (24.6%), beverages (13.4%), leather and leather products (11.2%).
In April 2015, against April 2014, industrial production increased by 1.6% at constant prices, working day adjusted – by 2.3%. Over the year, mining and quarrying and manufacturing production remained unchanged, working day adjusted – increased by 0.9%; manufacturing production increased by 0.2%, working day adjusted – by 1.1%.
In January–April 2015, industrial production totalled EUR 6.0 billion at current prices and compared to the same period of 2014, grew by 3.6% at constant prices, working day adjusted – by 3.2%. Over the said period, mining and quarrying and manufacturing production increased by 4.5%, working day adjusted – by 4%; manufacturing production increased by 4.7%, working day adjusted – by 4.2%.
In January–April 2015, against January–April 2014, the proportion of mining and quarrying and manufacturing sales and services on the non-Lithuanian market increased by 0.3%age points and stood at 65.1%, on the Lithuanian market – decreased by 0.3%age points and stood at 34.9%. The value of sales and services to non-euro area countries accounted for more than half (52.4%) of the total value of mining and quarrying and manufacturing sales and services on the non-Lithuanian market.
In January–April 2015, against January–April 2014, the value of sales and services of industrial enterprises on the non-Lithuanian market decreased by 3% at current prices. The decrease was mainly influenced by a 16.3% drop in the sales of the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products, 13.7% – food products, 4% – rubber and plastic products. Over the said period, the sales of the production of the manufacture of furniture grew by 14.2, wood and wood products, except for furniture, – 15.1, computer, electronic and optical products – 42%. The value of sales and services to euro area countries decreased by 6.1, to non-euro area countries increase by 0.1% at current prices. Refined petroleum products excluded, the value of sales and services of industrial enterprises on the non-Lithuanian market increased by 1.6% at current prices.
In January–April 2015, against January–April 2014, the value of sales and services of mining and quarrying and manufacturing on the Lithuanian market decreased by 4.3%, refined petroleum products excluded – remained unchanged.

Sales and services of industrial enterprises refers to income (VAT and excise excluded) received during a reference period through selling goods and providing services.
Industrial production refers to the value (VAT and excise excluded) of the sales of goods manufactured or manufacturing work carried out by an enterprise. For the calculation of changes in industrial production, a producer price index is used.
