Just like Latvia, Malta also registered a 0.5% increase in annual inflation.
Meanwhile, deflation was registered in 11 member states, while 10 member states recorded inflation. Consumer prices in Estonia, France, Croatia, Italy, Finland and Great Britain remained unchanged.
The largest deflation level was registered in Greece – 1.9%, followed by Cyprus – 1.4%, as well as Lithuania and Bulgaria – by 1.1% each.
The largest inflation was registered in Austria – by 0.9%, Romania – 0.8%, and Sweden – 0.7%.
Annual deflation in the eurozone in March reduced by 0.1%, compared to 0.3% in February. Annual deflation in the EU reduced by 0.1%, compared to 0.3% in February.
Meanwhile, when compared to the previous month, consumer prices in the eurozone increased by 1.1%, but in the EU – by 0.9%.
In Latvia, month-on-month inflation increased by 0.8%. Monthly inflation in Lithuania increased by 0.8%, but in Estonia – by 0.7%.
