However, the general result, taking into account the additionally formed provisions, was negative – EUR 9.5 million loss.
In 2014 Medicinos Bankas earned EUR 11.54 million from net fees, commission income and foreign exchange operations. This is by 24.22% more than in 2013 (EUR 9.29 million).
Interest income amounted to EUR 5.33 million or by 30.34% less than in 2013. This was due to the change of bank accounting policies regarding the recognition of interest income on problem loans. Loan portfolio in late December 2014 stood at EUR 124.1 million, deposit portfolio at EUR 220.55 million, or by 8.4 and 5.9% respectively less year-on-year.
Assets decreased by 1.38% since the beginning of 2014 and at the end of the year totalled EUR 867.62 million.
Medicinos Bankas meets all the prudential requirements established by the Bank of Lithuania: capital adequacy ratio on 31 December 2014 was 11.9% (threshold is 10%), liquidity was 49.08% (threshold 30%).
