The President met with representatives of Google, Thermo Fisher and Hitachi corporations. A meeting with the head of marketing at Google, Lorraine Twohill, focused on the company's intentions to open a Vilnius-based regional office for the Baltic States.
Marc N. Casper, the president of major U.S. pharmaceutical company Thermo Fisher, presented to Dalia Grybauskaite the company's investment development plans in Kaunas. Last year, this famous manufacturer of medical and pharmacy products invested over 9 million USD and created more than 400 jobs in Lithuania.
During a meeting with representatives of the Japanese energy company Hitachi, possibilities to cooperate in the sphere of energy were reviewed.
The President has underlined that our country's growing economy, rapid development of advanced technologies and communications, and highly qualified employees create a favorable investment climate in Lithuania.
