YIT will build a new shopping centre near Vilnius airport

The Finnish construction company YIT is going to construct a shopping centre Nordika in Vilnius.

The company has signed a contracting agreement with VPH, a Canadian venture capital firm, to build the first phase of the building.

The value of the contract is approximately EUR 11 million, and the project is financed by VPH. The first phase will be completed by autumn 2015, globenewswire.com reports.

The new shopping centre is planned in the vicinity of Vilnius Airport, next to an IKEA store. YIT has already completed several property development projects in Lithuania.
