The bulk of GDP was created in Vilnius (39.2%), Kaunas (19.7%) and Klaipėda (12%) counties. The contribution of Alytus, Marijampolė, Tauragė, Telšiai and Utena counties to the country's GDP is below 4%.
In terms of GDP per capita, compared to the national average, Vilnius (143.7%) and Klaipėda (107.3%) counties remained in the lead. Per-capita GDP in Kaunas County made up 98.7% of the national average.
In 2013, in terms of GDP per capita, the gap between Vilnius and other regions did not shrink. Per-capita GDP in Vilnius County exceeded those of Alytus, Marijampolė, Utena and Tauragė counties more than twice.
