According to Statistics Lithuania, the price of toothpaste increased the most (by 12.7 percent), followed by tomatoes (4.6%), women's stockings (4%), semolina (3.7%) and natural fermentation sparkling wine (2.6%).
Meanwhile, prices of the following products decreased the most: onions (by 27.8 percent), beetroot (24%), white cabbage (8.8%), washed carrots (7.1%) and fermented cabbage (7%).
In October prices of the following services increased the most: dinner at a restaurant or cafe (by 1.7%), barbers' services (1.6%), hairdressers' services (1.4%), dry cleaning of men's suits (1.2%).
Price increase or decrease was mostly affected by seasonality and discounts.
26,964 prices in 995 trade and service companies in 18 cities were recorded to calculate the average retail prices of 100 homogenous consumer goods and services in the litas and the euro.
