'It was not an easy year for Lithuanian exporters, but our producers remember lessons learnt from the past and are able to refocus quickly. The export to other European Union states have increased remarkably. The producers export their production to Poland, Germany, and Italy,' said the Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Virginija Baltraitienė.
To Egypt Lithuania mostly exports wheat (64 percent), processed tobacco, milk powder, crab sticks, whey powder, and fodder plants.
Export to Germany increased by 7.5 percent, to Belarus by 5.7 percent, and about 1.2 times more Lithuanian products are also exported to Italy and Great Britain.
Most of the Lithuanian poultry travels to Belarus, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
