"Strengthening the regions is one of the priorities of the Ministry's START plan, and this year we expect to provide even more funding than last year. I have no doubt that the municipalities that take advantage of this opportunity will contribute to building a more sustainable and competitive Lithuania," said Lukas Savickas, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
The funding is open to municipalities wishing to improve the infrastructure of their investment sites by installing engineering structures, energy facilities, communication networks and other necessary infrastructure to make the investment sites more attractive. The projects must be completed by the end of 2025 and all financed costs must be justified and incurred by 1 December of the same year.
The scheme is administered by the Innovation Agency, which can be found here.
Last year, 24 municipal projects received €12.8 million in funding.
