The data published show that, as of 31 December 2022, the US (€5.6 billion) was the largest investor in Lithuania, followed by Sweden (€4.4 billion), the UK (€3.6 billion) and Germany (€2.1 billion).
Round-trip investment shows that equity held by residents which leaves the country and is subsequently reinvested in the form of FDI amounted to €965.9 million.
The comparison of FDI data by the ultimate investing country with the direct investing country data reflects an 11.9-fold increase in investment originating from the US, while investment from Germany, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Latvia declined by more than 50%.
