"Both companies are interested in expanding and investing in the European region. "Hitachi has 148 leading companies in Europe, operating in 21 European countries. "Panasonic is one of the world's largest and best-known electronics companies and is also actively expanding its operations. We presented the conditions for these companies to set up in Lithuania and the advantages of our country. We have a great opportunity to become an investment region and thus strengthen economic cooperation between Lithuania and Japan," said the Minister of the Economy and Innovation A. Armonaitė.
The Minister also invited the leaders of both companies to make more active use of the potential of Lithuanian manufacturers and to use Lithuanian components in the production of their products.
"Lithuanian companies have been successfully supplying products to car manufacturers in Germany and other Western European countries, as well as other industrial corporations. We can also work successfully with Japanese business representatives," the Minister is convinced.
"Hitachi manufactures information and telecommunication systems, drones, wind turbines, power generation systems, semiconductors and other products. The company currently has branches in Central and Eastern European countries such as Poland and Romania.
"Panasonic operates in a wide range of industries, including consumer electronics, automotive components, home appliances, industrial solutions and others. It is one of the world's largest and best-known electronics companies. The company focuses on innovation and sustainability and aims to reduce its environmental impact and develop cutting-edge technologies.
