“It is important that the Green Corridor initiative for large investors brings projects that are not only concentrated around Vilnius, but also give a boost to various districts of Lithuania. The implementation of all the eleven major investment projects that have already been signed will create more than 3 500 new jobs in the country," said Aušrinė Armonaitė, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
The company is expected to build a new factory with modern robotic metalworking and assembly lines. The plan is also to construct a modern laboratory for innovation, which will be connected to the production facilities in a common space. According to estimates, around 80% of the new plant's production will be exported.
The project will further increase the share of high-tech products exported from Lithuania, creating high added value and hundreds of new jobs, all of which will have a positive impact on the country's overall economic development.
“The large-scale project developed by Komfovent in Kaišiadorys reflects the consistent policy of our company. The new factory will allow us to expand production, develop new innovative products, create new jobs in the region and enable the company to establish a stronger foothold in both the Lithuanian and foreign markets," says Albinas Čėpla, Director of the company.
Komfovent produces innovative ventilation equipment with recuperators and fire safety and smoke extraction systems for various applications. The company’s products directly contribute to energy savings and ensure a healthy indoor microclimate.
Komfovent is the eleventh investment project in Lithuania to be awarded the status of a major project under the Green Corridor Initiative. The total amount of investments planned under this initiative amounts to EUR 688.88 million.
The Green Corridor Initiative, developed by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and launched in 2021, provides for the status of a major investment project for businesses investing at least EUR 20 million (EUR 30 million in Vilnius) in fixed capital and committing to create at least 150 new jobs (and at least 200 new jobs in Vilnius).
This initiative allows to settle down much easier and quicker, at the same time granting the status of a project of national importance and a 0% corporate tax rate for up to 20 years.
