"As Lithuania opens new markets in the Indo-Pacific region, we see the Republic of Korea as a strategically significant partner. I am glad that in this country, Lithuania is also known as a reliable country and advanced technology leader," said Landsbergis. The Foreign Minister also discussed cooperation opportunities for Lithuanian businesses in the field of laser technology.
"Today, Lithuanian laser manufacturers are opening the door for cooperation with the leader in the global display market - Samsung Display. I hope that soon Samsung Display will be able to develop new products together with Lithuanian companies, using Lithuania's niche laser technology. This again shows that Lithuanian smart technology manufacturers are making giant steps forward," said Landsbergis, inviting Samsung Display to come to Lithuania and get acquainted with local laser companies and their products.
In the meeting, Dr Martynas Barkauskas, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Laser Association, presented in detail the potential of Lithuania's laser sector and the companies to participate in the development of Samsung Display's new products.
In addition, Lithuania's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Ričardas Šlepavičius offered the representatives of Samsung Display to get acquainted with Lithuanian manufacturers' smart technology products at the international laser technology exhibition 'Laser Korea 2023' to which Lithuanian companies were invited this July.
