Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin amounted to LTL 3.8 billion (EUR 1.1 billion). The foreign trade deficit of Lithuania amounted to LTL 0.4 billion (EUR 0.1 billion).
Over the month (June 2014, against May), exports increased by 3.4, imports decreased by 1.3%.
The increase in exports was influenced by an increase in exports of electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof (58.6%) and exports of grains (6.9 times).
The decline in imports was influenced by a 27.3% decrease in imports of crude oil. Mineral products excluded, exports increased by 7.1, imports - by 5.2 %. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 4.7%, mineral products excluded - increased by 0.3%.
In June 2014, against June 2013, exports went up by 4.9, imports - by 12%.
The rise in exports was influenced by an increase in exports of electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof (2.2 times) and medical or surgical instruments and apparatus, parts and accessories thereof (89.3%).
The increase in imports was influenced by a rise in imports of electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof, boilers (85.8%) and imports of machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (21.4%).
Mineral products excluded, exports and imports increased by 16.4 and 18.4% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 8.1, mineral products excluded - grew by 7.3%.
In January-June 2014, against January-June 2013, exports decreased by 3.6, imports - by 0.1%. The decrease in exports was influenced by a decrease in exports of petroleum products (33.2%), ground vehicles (26.4%) and fertilisers (11.5%).
The decrease in imports was influenced by a decrease in imports of crude oil (23.1%) and ground vehicles (15.3%). Mineral products excluded, exports and imports increased by 5.7 and 9.8% respectively.
Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 10.8, mineral products excluded - grew by 3%.
Exports to Russia increased by 3.4%, exports of goods of Lithuanian origin declined by 15.2%.
